Exploring the endless waves of the Mid-North Coast

There's a unique thrill that accompanies the pursuit of endless waves, a sensation that only water people truly understand. Packed with anticipation, our crew of surf amigos recently embarked on a journey in search of those elusive fun waves. Boards of all shapes and sizes—mals, mid-lengths, and twin fins—tightly secured, we set our sights on a renowned surf spot that has gained popularity in recent years: Crescent Head.
Nestled along the coastline, Crescent Head beckons with its epic point break that caters to surf crafts of every kind. The promise of new and diverse ways to connect with the ocean lures us to this picturesque destination time and time again.

As the sun dips low on the horizon, we roll into town with hopes of catching a glassy evening session. Making a beeline for the point, we're greeted by friendly locals and fellow travellers, all sharing the same passion. A quick surf session sets the tone for our stay before we retreat to the welcoming embrace of Surfaris Retreat.

Our accommodation choice, Surfaris Retreat, proves to be a hidden gem tucked away behind the town. Whether traveling with friends, joining a retreat, or hosting your own, Surfaris offers a perfect blend of tranquillity in the bush and proximity to town. A dip in the pool, a drink at the bar, or lounging in the hidden bush lounge under the stars—Surfaris Retreat has it all.

Aside from this, there is accommodation to suit all tastes, whether you’re travelling solo or with your family. From camping at the point or National Park back beaches to cabins, villas, or houses in town, the options are diverse.

For those seeking a touch of retro-ness and sophistication, the newly opened sea sea hotel adds a touch of fun luxury to the Crescent Head experience.

The weekend unfolds with culinary delights at Surfaris or The Green Room in town. Mornings start with coffee from Point Break Café after sweet logging sessions at the Point. The back beaches offer exploration opportunities, and a visit to The Bush Kitchen is a must for the best pizzas and weekend vibes.

Crescent Head isn't just about waves; it's a treasure trove of experiences, and with a stop at Cheetah Five Store and Mr Vintage, you will be sure to leave town in style with rad clothes and accessories.

Our time in Crescent Head isn't just about chasing waves. With the family in tow, we fish, float down the creek and take walks along pristine beaches and trails, revealing some of the area's diverse offerings. Make sure to stop in at Cheetah Five Store too, a groovy retail shop. You will be sure to leave town in style with rad clothes and accessories.

Crescent Head really is a haven for those seeking a perfect blend of surf, relaxation and community.

As we head home, our cups are filled with the memories of epic waves, delicious food, and fun moments. Needless to say, we will be back very soon.
Crescent Head offers more than just waves – it's a haven for those seeking a perfect blend of surf, relaxation, and community.

Thanks for tuning in. We look forward to seeing you on our next adventure.
